This was in the paper a couple of weeks ago btw.
Pop heart-throb's love life rumours are making him think about leaving the UK
John Dingwall Exclusive
BLUE hunk Duncan James has threatened to quit the UK to escape the pressures of fame.
The singer dropped the bombshell prior to last night's first of three consecutive sell-out shows at Glasgow's SECC.
He revealed he may flee Britain because intrusions into his private life in recent months have become unbearable.
Speaking exclusively to 192, he complained: "It's sad that I can't take the dog for a walk without paparazzi hiding in the bushes and taking pictures of me.
"It's like you become famous and feel you can't do anything because everyone wants a piece of you. I feel like I'm being pushed out of my own country and I need to run away to somewhere I'm not going to get hassled."
Duncan, who has been linked to Dani Behr, Liberty X beauty Michelle Heaton, Anya Lahiri of girl band Precious and glamour model Jordan, says his womanising reputation is partly to blame for his disillusionment.
Setting the record straight for the first time, Duncan told me: "I can't be seen talking to a girl without somebody saying I'm going out with her.
"People said I was going out with Dani Behr because I was seen talking to her in a club, but I wasn't dating her.
"I went out with Anya for six months and Michelle and me had a little thing together, but that was it. Dani is just a good mate and the rest is just gossip."
Duncan laughed off Jordan's claim that she bedded him following her alleged fling with Gareth Gates. He said: "That was the funniest thing. Where did that story come from?
"I don't know whether she felt humiliated after the stories about Gareth and wanted to link herself with me because I'm in the papers.
"I have to laugh, because otherwise I would cry."
Blue - Duncan, Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe and Anthony Costa - are on course to shoot straight to No.1 next week with their collaboration with Elton John on his 1976 song Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.
And Duncan is only too aware that another chart-topper is bound to crank up the interest in his private life.
He said: "The world that we live in is becoming more celebrity gossip- orientated. People want to know what celebrities do in their spare time, what food they eat and what they do to keep fit."
Fans may well see Duncan out and about this week. He revealed: "We've been up to Glasgow quite a few times and I'd quite like to have a look round this time."
Last night, the band delighted Scottish fans by performing songs from their chart-topping albums, All Rise and One Love, on their first headlining tour.
Duncan admitted: "It is difficult to comprehend that these fans have all come to see us. We've only been going for a year and a half and our success hasn't sunk in."
Hope he doesn't leave - though I seriously doubt it.
